Matthew J. Walther is a filmmaker and multidisciplinary storyteller based in North Carolina. His work blends atmospheric tension, grounded human drama, and a strong sense of visual and musical identity. With a background spanning narrative shorts, animation, documentary structure, scoring, and worldbuilding, Matthew approaches each project as both a director and a craftsman — shaping tone, sound, and emotion with equal care.

Drawing from years of writing, producing, and self-taught technical work, Matthew specializes in character-focused stories and immersive environments. His projects range from intimate psychological horror to sweeping historical drama and investigative documentary. He strives to create films that feel personal, honest, and deeply rooted in emotional truth, no matter the scale.
